Just when Alex thought his life was calming down into a routine of patients and therapy sessions, he finds himself back in the game--this time to catch a criminal mastermind like no other.
A spate of elaborate murders in Washington D.C. have the whole East Coast on edge. They are like nothing Alex Cross and his new girlfriend, Detective Brianna Stone, have ever seen. With each murder, the case becomes increasingly complex. There's only one thing Alex knows: the killer adores an audience.
As victims are made into gruesome spectacles citywide, inducing a media hysteria, it becomes clear to Alex that the man he's after is a genius of terror--and he's after fame. The killer has the whole city by its strings--and he'll stop at nothing to become the most terrifying star that Washington D.C. has ever seen. |

James Patterson writes with such concise excitement. He omits all filler, and simple leaves the thrill. "Double Cross" is an Alex Cross mystery. I was not familiar with the character prior to reading this, but I have no doubt that readers will be glad that Alex Cross is back.
In "Double Cross", there are so many questions the reader has. Nothing is obvious. I read all 389 pages in two days. I am now a Patterson fan.
I will not disclose the details of "Double Cross" for fear of revealing too much. However, this is an awesome book. Do you love a good mystery? If so, stop what you are doing, and go get your copy!

In this newest Patterson book our hero Dr. Alex Cross has settled to a
private quiet life. He is enjoying a prosperous practice in his new life.
He has a new girlfriend name Brianna Stone(also known as Bree). He is now
living the good life. All of that changes with the emergence of a diabolical villain. The new bad guy is known as the Audience Killer or
DCAK. This killer performs his killings before large public crowds. He
gets the maximum exposure. With each murder he uses a different disguise.
He is proving impossible to capture. He openly challenges the police to
capture him. Also added to the mix is a villain from Cross's past,Kyle
Craig(the Mastermind). He has been in prison in Colorado in ADX Florence.
No one has ever escaped this prison Craig becomes the first. He travels
to Washington D.C. to do battle with Alex Cross. Cross now has two forces
of evil to face off with. This makes for an exciting read. Donot miss this book.Another winner from Patterson. |

| This book is excellent. This book is classic Patterson, which has been missed with his recent releases. This book is just as good as other Alex Cross titles. I wish James Patterson would release just one book a year, so he can put some time and effort into writing something that is worth reading. This book is action packed, a real page turner. Double Cross is what all James Patterson novels should be like. Overall, A+ for Double Cross. |

| James writes titilating light, yet intense, fun reads and this is an example. They wind up being too short because I can't put it down. Only regret: wish it was 1500 pages! |
